The title track of Jeff Taylor's EP, 'Organelle,' originally emerged as a dream dialogue. In creating the music for the four song release, Taylor envisioned himself scrambling to fan the final dying embers of a foundering romantic relationship. The world which begat the doomed experiment is melting, all color and stories from their failed relationship running in anastomotic streams.

With musical roots in Taylor's Western Pennsylvania writing sessions of the previous January, the title song, Organelle stood out to producer Thomas Bartlett as a candidate for potential recording sessions.

In March 2015, Jeff's composition, "In The Jetstream," served as the score for an episode of NPR/WNYC's Radiolab.  The episode is called 'Fu-Go,' and the music was written specifically for the show.
Taylor spent the tail end of 2013 writing and recording his first solo EP, 'Organelle.'  Bartlett is featured on keyboard instruments throughout, along with a cadre of local musicians who are also Taylor's dear friends. The release is a limited pressing of 45RPM 10" vinyl - in fact it's almost extinct.  A high-quality digital version is available here:

2012/2013 found Jeff Taylor on tour as support for Trixie Whitley and Kishi Bashi. He finished out 2013 with his stage debut as Larry the Dwarf in Frank Zappa’s '200 Motels.' In 'Motels,' Taylor sang with the Los Angeles Philharmonic for the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Disney Concert Hall.
